Revd. Dr. Catherine Dowland-Pillinger – Chair
Catherine was ordained in 2008 following a career in education (lastly as Head of Student Services at Trinity College of Music). After serving her curacy at St. Mary the Blessed Virgin, Addington, she moved to Woldingham in 2013. In addition to her parish work, she is an Honorary Minor Canon of Southwark Cathedral and also works with those exploring a possible vocation to ordained or lay ministry on the diocesan and national levels.
The Rev. Catherine Dawkins – Associate Priest
Catherine was ordained in 2010 and is an Associate Priest in the parish of Woldingham. She is also Finance Director for the Diocese of Chichester, and a trustee of the Jerusalem and Middle East Church Association.
Mrs Judy Fortune – Church Warden & Tandridge Deanery Synod Representative
Judy, originally from Barbados, moved to Woldingham in 2004 and joined St. Paul’s Church. Judy worked as a Volunteer in a local hospice in the patient and family support team giving spiritual care. She has two adult children.
Mr Nigel Hardy – Church Warden
Nigel moved to Woldingham in 2021 and is a member of the PCC and Worship Committee. He is the co-owner of an international business-to-business publishing and events company. Married to Nikki, who sings in the church choir, they have an extended family of six adult children and four grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys country pursuits and dog training.
Mrs Maureen Westmarland – Deputy Churchwarden, Safeguarding Officer & Tandridge Deanery Synod Representative
Maureen has worshipped at St. Paul’s since 1986 when she moved to Woldingham with her family. She became Hon. Secretary to the PCC in 2004 and then a Churchwarden between 2014 and 2021. Currently she is a Deanery Synod representative and a Parish Safeguarding Officer. She is also Deputy Churchwarden. Maureen now lives in Caterham.
Mrs Alison Mead – Safeguarding officer
Alison has been involved with Safeguarding within the church for many years, writing the first policy for St. Pauls before this became a diocesan and then Church of England responsibility. She worked for almost 50 years for the NHS latterly as Health Visitor and Specialist Practice Teacher with extensive experience in the field of Safeguarding. This led to involvement as a voluntary Trainer for the Diocese for several years. Alison lived with her family, all now grown up in Woldingham for 40 years and worshipped at St Pauls as member of the choir and regularly on the PCC . She has 3 children and 6 Grandchildren.

Mrs Maggie Stevenson – Honorary Secretary
Maggie has been the Hon Secretary for the PCC since 2019. She is a parliamentary PA at the House of Lords and a Trustee of the National Commission on Forced Marriage. She has two adult children and has worshipped at St. Paul’s since 2002.
Stella Morris – Honorary Treasurer
Stella is a St. Agatha’s churchgoer. She is married to Philip and a mum of 3. She moved to Woldingham in 2004 and alongside her husband ran their own Medical Device manufacturing company for 20 years. Since selling their business in 2025, Stella provides business consultancy services. Stella has been a Trustee for a children’s lower limb charity, and in her spare time enjoys travelling, doing crosswords and spending time with friends.
Janine Battersby
Janine has been living in / associated with our village for some 60+ years! Baptised at St Paul’s in her teens, she left the village for her studies. Always drawn back by family remaining here and eventually returning to care for her parents. Profession: Chartered Marketer. She is also Trustee / Director of Craigmyle Glebe. Janine loves doing church ‘tours & chats’ and looks forward to helping with outreach and growing the church community.
Nancy Collard
Nancy has lived in Woldingham for over 40 years and has worshipped at St Paul’s for most of that time. She has been church warden twice and deputy CW and now plays an active role in the general running of the church as she looks after the church room, does the flowers, is on the cleaning rota and also a sidesperson. She is a retired teacher and has two adult sons.
Victoria Francis
Victoria first lived in Woldingham as a teenager in the 1990s. She and her husband made their home here in 2007, and have since added to their household with two (now teenage) boys and two dogs. She works as a lawyer and enjoys helping with the children’s activities at St Paul’s.
Nicola Hardy
Mr Christopher Roberts
Churchwardens are elected at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting for the following year. Christopher Roberts has held this post since May 2021. He was previously Churchwarden in 2011-13, covering the interregnum between the retirement of Charles Bradshaw as our Vicar and the arrival of Catherine Dowland-Pillinger as his successor. Christopher is a retired civil servant whose last post was as UK Director-General of Trade Policy. He lives in Woldingham, and has worshipped at St Paul’s since 1966.
Mr Robin Tozer
Robin Tozer has previously served as joint Church warden of St. Paul’s & S.t Agatha’s, Woldingham. He is a retired Chartered Accountant and spent most of his working life in the commercial world of exporting. He is married with four (adult) children and six grand-children and was born and lived in Woldingham for 75 years. He now lives in Chaldon. He is a Trustee of the Woldingham based charity, Craigmyle Glebe, which has strong links with St. Paul’s Church and provides sporting and recreational facilities for the local Woodlea Primary School and the residents of Woldingham and district.
