Welcome to the Woldingham Parish website!
There are two churches in Woldingham; St Paul’s and St Agatha’s, and there has been a church in the village since at least 1270. We are part of the Caterham Team Ministry, in the Anglican Diocese of Southwark. We welcome Christians of all denominations, as well as those who are exploring the Christian faith. You are very welcome to come along to any of our services and events.
Please explore our site and learn more about our ministry!
The parish of St Paul’s with St Agatha’s, Woldingham takes the safeguarding and care of children and vulnerable adults very seriously. Further information about this can be found on the Safeguarding Policies tab above. The Diocese of Southwark document “A Safe Church” can be found at https://southwark.anglican.org/safeguarding/diocesan-policies-and-procedures
Following last night’s instructions (23 March) from the Government and the Church of England, both St. Paul’s and St. Agatha’s churches must now close for the foreseeable future to help keep people safe. Please be assured of our prayers and that the work of the Church continues online and via the telephone and let us know if we can help. 01883 652192; 07768 065301; firstname.lastname@example.org
Members of our churches will be working together with the Woldingham Good Neighbours’ Scheme to offer support by email or telephone, or deliveries of groceries or medication, to those in our community who are confined to their homes during this period. Please contact Janet Tyler (01883 652264), Alison Mead (01883 652580) or Revd. Catherine (01883 652192) if you would like to help with this initiative, intended to supplement the other good neighbourly caring which is already taking place in the Village, or if you need help yourself at any stage. Please do also let me know if you have to self-isolate, as we are aware may be the case for a number of our members on age grounds before long, so that we can keep in touch and hold you in our prayers.
